Slope of the line
(8-6)/(2-4)
2/-2
-1
General equation of the line
y = mx + c
m=-1
so
y = -x + c
if it passes through (2,8)
8 = (-1*2) + c
8 = -2 + c
c = 10
so the equation is
y = -x + 10
