Since £1 is 100p, you would first do this - 72/100
You can then cancel it down, by dividing by two - 36/50
Since there are no prime numbers and they're both even, you can divide by 2 again to make 18/25.

You can't simplify it further,as the GCF of 18 and 25 is 1.

\pounds1 = 100p

(72)/(100) = (18)/(25)
