It would be 21 out of 56. In simplifying terms its 3 out of 8.

Answer: The chances that it will be a part time employees is
\dfac{3}{8}

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Total number of employees = 56

Number of part time employees = 21

So, Probability that it will be a part time employee is given by

\frac{\text{Number of part time employees}}{\text{Total number of employees}}\\\\=(21)/(56)\\\\=(3)/(8)

Hence, The chances that it will be a part time employees is
\dfac{3}{8}
