There are 2 different meanings to that word "brazen".
1. Bold and without shame = "He went about his illegal business with a brazen assurance."
2. Endure an embarrassing or difficult situation by behaving with apparent confidence and lack of shame = "We were shaking in our boots, but we brazened it out."
