we know that

The volume of the prism is equal to

V=B*h

where

B is the area of the base

h is the height

in this problem

area of the base B is the area of a rectangle

B=12*9=108\ cm^(2)

h=6\ cm ----------> is the distance perpendicular to the base

Find the volume of the prism

V=108*6=648\ cm^(3)

therefore

the answer is

the volume of the prism is
648\ cm^(3)
