What is the effect of syntax in these lines from a short story?

His throat had been cut from ear to ear. The blood had flowed down into a pool where his body sagged the bunk. His head rested on his left arm. The open razor lay, edge up, in the blankets.

I believe that the answer here is emotional description. If it was any of the other choices, for example, ambiguous imagery then it would be saying the excerpt has 2 different meanings for the image it portrays.
