Well 575 divided by 14 equals 41 with a remainder of 1.  The partial quotient then would be 41 and 1/15.

1. How many 14 are in 575? (at least 40). Then the first partial quotient is 40 and

14\cdot 40=560.

2. Subtract 560 from 575: 575-560=15.

How many 14 are in 15? (exactly 1). Then the second partial quotient is 1 and the difference is 15-14=1, so the remainder is 1.

3. Add the partial quotients. The answer is: 40+1=41 - the quptient and 1- the remainder.

Answer:
575:14=14\cdot 41+1.
