An airplane is heading due north. It experiences a crosswind in the westerly direction. What is the direction of travel for the airplane with respect to the ground?

i put northwest so that is what i would go with

Answer: the direction will be northwest

Explanation: since the wind is coming from the East it will move the plane traveling north towards the west but not totally to the west because the plane also has a momentum which would against the wind to an extent
