[2d-5]=13
We have two equations:
(1)
2x-5=13
2x=13+5
2x=18
x=18/2
x=9
(2)
2x-5=-13
2x=-13+5
2x=-8
x=-8/2
x=-4
answer: We have two solutions for d; d=-4 and d=9
