To find average speed, we divide the distance of travel (in this case, 400 metres) by the time she took, 32 seconds.  Therefore: 12.5 seconds is her average speed.

Answer:

The answer is Average speed is equal to 12.5 m/sec

Step-by-step explanation:

1- The average speed is the relationship between the distance traveled that a body made and the total time it took to perform it.

2- The formula that allows to calculate the average velocity is V = ΔX/ΔT where (V) is the average speed, (ΔX) is the distance traveled and (ΔT) is the time interval.

3- Knowing this we can replace the values given in the problem:

V = (400m)/(32sec) \\V = 12.5  m/sec
