Iron, primarily. the metal mostly consists of the pure element. Most cast iron also contains a few percent of carbon and some other impurities, but 95-98% of it is iron.

An iron pot consists of iron, elements in the pot are pure substances that make up one kind of atom. for example, water is a pure substance because it contains two atoms known as oxygen and hydrogen.
