Answer:

$14.75

Explanation:

Let the amount paid by Stephanie = $ x

According to question,

Amount paid by Katie= $ x+3

Amount paid by Brandy= 2(x+3)

Total combined amount paid =$ 56

According to given condition,

x + x+ 3 + 2(x+3)= $56

2 x+ 3 + 2 x +6= 56

4 x + 9= 56

4 x= 56- 9

4 x= 47

x=
(47)/(4)

x= 11.75

Amount paid by Stephanie = $11.75

Amount paid by Katie= $ 11.75+3= 14.75

Amount paid by Brandy= 2(11.75+3)= 29.50
