Because the probability of rolling a 12 is 1/36, what is left over? 35/36. Since 35/36 cannot be simplified, it stays as 35/36. Hope my explanation will inspire you to get better at probability in school. xxx SmileySmartie xxx

since the probability of roling 12 is 1/36 we subtract that from how many possibiliies there are and we do this
36/36 (or 1)-1/36=35/36
