Simple.....

-23-(-113)=?

But, remember....if a negative is subtracted by a negative..but one is in parentheses it changes positively...

this being said....

-23+(+113)=?

113-23=90

or

-23+113=90

Thus, your answer.

Subtract -113 from -23. This would also be the same as adding 113 to -23 because the two negative signs are equal to one positive sign.
Final Answer: 90
