All of the above. Every monarch reigned before serfdom was abolished in each of their respective countries. Year of serfdom emancipation: Russian Empire (1861); Prussia (1807); Spain (1837). Catherine the Great ruled Russia 1762 – 1796; Frederick WIlliam II ruled Prussia 1744 – 1797; Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor 1519 – 1559; Peter the Great ruled Russia 1721 –1725.
