The setting of Welles's version of Macbeth, a popular film adaptation of Shakespeare´s notable play, differ from the setting of shakespeare's as it was developen in a fictious Caribbean island and presented an all.black cast. On the other hand, Shakespeare´s version of Macbeth was ser in Scotland.

Macbeth dramatises the damaging physical and psychological impacts of political ambition on those who seek power for its own sake.
