5=2n-3 please step by step and show work thanks :))

5=2n - 3

you have to add 3 on both parts so that you can take eliminate the three on the right side. doing so, means you have to add 5+3 which equals 8. You then have to get 'n' alone and to do that you have to divide the 2 with 2n so that the n will be alone. but, you have to do it on both sides which means it will be 8/2. which solves for

n = 4
