Answer : 6+(x-10)=5
x-10=5-6
x=5-6+10
x=9

6+(x-10)=5
-6 -6
x-10= -1
+10 +10
x= 9
Now let's check:
6+(9-10)=5
6+(-1)=5
5=5
:)
