Think about it... 9 minus what equals -1? It's -10. If they are asking for a common difference.

Answer:

Each element is obtained by adding -10 to the previous term

Explanation:

Sequence refers to a set of elements such that the elements are arranged according to some rule .

The number of elements in a sequence is called length of sequence .

A sequence can be finite or infinite .

Sequence is said to be finite if it has finite number of elements and said to be infinite if it has infinite number of elements .

Given sequence : 9,-1,-11,-21

We need to describe the relationship between the successive terms in the sequence .

Here, we can see the following relation between elements :

-1-9=-10\\-11-(-1)=-11+1=-10\\-21-(-11)=-21+11=-10

So, each element is obtained by adding -10 to the previous term .
