Step 1: Find the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) of 70,105

Method 1: By Listing FactorsList out all factors of each number, and find the first common one.

70: 1, 2, 5, 7, 10, 14, 35, 70

105: 1, 3, 5, 7, 15, 21, 35, 105

Therefore, the GCF is 35.

Method 2: By Prime FactorsList all prime factors of each denominator, and find the intersection of these primes.

70 : 2, 5, 7

105 : 3, 5, 7

Therefore, the GCF is 5 x 7 = 35

Step 2: From above, the GCF is 35

35

Step 3: Divide the numerator (70) by the GCF

70 ÷ 35 = 2

Step 4: Divide the denominator (105) by the GCF

105 ÷ 35 = 3

Step 5:
Rewrite the fraction in the simplified form

(2)/(3)
