Let the number of guests be x, then nx + 9 = 64
nx = 64 - 9 = 55

Factors of 55 are 11, 5 and 55, 1

Since there were more than 9 guests at the party, and n is an integer greater than 1, then n = 5 and x = 11.

n = 5
