Answer: 12

Explanation:

height/shadow = height/shadow

You get

18/21 =x/14

21 divided by 14 is 1.5

18 divided by 1.5 is 12

So, the answer is 12.

The problem about tree shadows can be solved using ratio and proportion. The solution is as follows:

14/x = 21/18

Cross multiply the equation:

14(18) = x(21)

Solve for x:

x = (14(18))/21
x = 12 ft

Therefore, the height of the tree is 12 feet long.

I hope it has come to your help.
