6x + 12y = 11
4x + 8y = 3.
6x=−12y+11

4x+8y=3
6x=11−12y
4x+8y=3
6x/6 =11/6 −12y/6
4x+8y=3
x=11/6−12y/6
4x+8y=3
x=11/6 −2y
4x+8y=3
value substituted is 11/6 −2y.
x=11/6 −2y
4(11/6 −2y)+8y=3
x=11/6 −2y
22/3 −8y+8y=3
x=11/6 −2y
22/3 =3
Since 22/3 ≠3, there are no solutions.
hope this helps
