Orange angle = A

SOH ==> Sine = Opossite / Hipothenuse

CAH ==> Cosine = Adjacent / Hipothenuse

TOA ==> Tangent = Opossite/Adjacent

in this case we know the adjacent side to the angle and we want to know the opossite side, so we are going to use TOA:

Tan A = opposite side/adjacent side

\tan =\frac{Opposite\text{ leg}}{\text{Adjacent leg}}\Longrightarrow\text{ }\tan (53)\text{ = }(Height)/(3)

3\cdot\text{ }\tan (53)\text{ = }(Height)/(3)\cdot3\Longrightarrow\text{ Multiplication property of equality}

3\cdot\text{ }\tan (53)\text{ = Height}

Answer:

3.9811 m
