182 in = 52 - x .... Subtract 52 from both sides.... x = 130 inches, that's the width

2×52+2w=182
104+2w=182
2w=182-104
2w=78
w=78÷2
w=39
width is equal to 39 inches
Perimeter: 39+39+52+52=182 inches
