12.48 + (-10.636) I need help is due tomorrow

Since on a number line negatives are always first, pretend that you are counting 12.48 up from -10.636. (I attached a number line in case you don't fully understand what I'm trying to say)

Basically subtract 12.48 and 10.636 from each other and solve get the answer.

If it is a positive + a negative like the one in your equation it would be 12.48 - 10.636 because you have as an example: $10 + $5 in debt. Debt is negative so it would be 5$ hope u understand
