Tell whether the graphs of the two equations are parallel lines...
(24) y = 8x-3 , 8x + y =3
(25) 2x + y = 5 , -6 + 2x = y
(26) 2x + y = 5 , y = 0.5x - 3
(27) y = -0.6 + 2 , 5y + 3x = 8
(28) 8x + 3y = 9 , 3y - 4 = 8x
(29) 10x + 2y = 7 , 5x - y = 6

parallel lines have the same gradient
the equation is y=mx+c...where m is the gradient
24) y=8x-3 y=-8x+3... not parallel
25) y=-2x+5 y=2x-6.... not parallel
26) y=-2x+5 y=0.5x-3... not parallel
27) y=-0.6x+2 y=-3/5x + 8/5
=-0.6x + 1.6...parallel
28) y=-8/3x+3 y=8/3x+4/3...not parallel
29) y=-5x+7/2 y=5x-6 ... not parallel
