The net of a rectangular pyramid consists of one rectangular base and four lateral triangular faces. the net of the given pyramids can be drawn like this:

For the first pyramid:

For the second pyramid:

The lateral surface area of these pyramids can bu calculated with the following formula:


A=2* b* h

Where b is the length of the side and h is the slant height.

For the first pyramid we have:


A1=2*230*186=85560

Then, the lateral surface area of the first pyramid equals 85560 square meters.

For the second pyramid:


A2=2*26*27=1404

Then, the lateral surface area of the second pyramid equals 1404 square meters.
