g(h(-1)=7

1) For this composite function, we must remember to plug inside the parentheses the value needed.

g(x)=x²-2

h(x)=3x

g(h(-1)) =

2) Or step by step:

g(h(-1))= (3(-1))²-2

g(h(-1) =(-3)²-2

g(h(-1)= 9-2

g(h(-1)=7

If we plug in h(-1) we'll have

h(-1) =3(-1)

h(-1) =-3

plugging in this value in g(x)

g(h(-1))= (-3)²-2

g(h(-1))=9-2 = 7
