Gladwell believes about the success of students enrolled in the kipp academy since it was known for its high standards. She's poor and there was a stereotype that poor kids do worse in school than rich kids. But she got in. So she's striving hard. Thank you for posting your question. I hope this answer helped you. Gladwell’s belief is that to be successful, a person must have a particular level of skill or knowledge or intelligence, and has to be given the opportunities to take full advantage of the education. Both ability and opportunities are key. The KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) prepares students in underserved communities to achieve success in college and beyond.
