think it in this context:
if one hour has 60 minutes, then how many minutes does 2 hours have?

-so, for example, lets do question a) of ur study sheet, which says we have to represent 5.5 hours in hours and minutes. so,
1 hr=60 minutes
5.5hr=x minutes
=5.5 x 60 minutes
=330 minutes
well, we've got the answer, but we need to represent it in hours and also in a less complicated way, so:
if 1 hr=60 minutes
2 hr=120 minutes
3 hr=180 minutes
4 hr=240 minutes
5 hr=300 minutes
, then we know that 330 minutes would best fit into 5 hours.
however, how many minutes? so we subtract 330-300, which is 30 minutes

-so, hence, 5.5 hours would be best stated as 5 hours and 30 minutes, which is less difficult for people to understand.

-i hope i helped and i gave u an understanding of how to overcome these problems:)

Look. 1 hour is 60 minutes, so you can assume 2 hours is 120 because 60 x 2 is 120.
5.5 h = 60 x 5.5 = 330 mins.
15.25 h = 60 x 15.25 = 915 m.
20.75 h = 60 x 20.75 = 1245 m
17.3 h = 60 x 17.3 = 1038 m.
