Hi! An equation can be made for this situation. She had 4 projects and worked x amount of hours which we don't know. Adding on to that she worked for 2 more hours on language arts. The equation would be: 4x+2=16. If we solve it like a normal equation:

4x+2=16

4x=14

if we divide both sides by 4 to isolate x:

x=3.5

She worked 3.5 hours per project

4x=16-2
