ok so you can do a ratio and proportion
if it is $1.5 for 2.5lb, how much is it for 1lb?
1.5:2.5=x:1
1.5/2.5=x/1
1.5/2.5=x
0.4=x
answer is 1lb is worth $0.40 or 40 cents
