(x)/(100) = (8)/(3) ⇒ x=
(100*8)/(3) = (800)/(3) = 266,(6)

if 8 = 3 (consider 8 to be and 3 to be earth (proportional))
then x = 100 (cross multiply)
x × 3 = 8 × 100
3x = 800
3x /3 = 800 / 3
x = 266.67 (this rounded to two decimal places)
therefore a person who weighs 100 pounds on earth would weigh 266.67 on jupiter
