The length of a rectangle is three times its width. If the perimeter is at most 112 centimeters, what is the greatest possible value for the width?

the answer is exactly 15.125

Since the length of the rectangle is 3 widths long, it can also be represented by 3 widths. So the perimeter would be 8 widths long.( 2lengths+2widths)
Hence, 112cm=8widths
Width=112cm/8
=14cm
Thus, the greatest possible value for the width is 14cm
