following pemdas ( Please excuse my dear aunt sally)( parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction)
you will subtract 3 from 6 since it is in the parentheses, which is 3
3^2+12÷3×8
then do the exponents
9+12÷3×8
then multiplication
9+12÷24
division
9+0.5
addition
=9.5

BIDMAS.
Brackets = ( 6 - 3 ) = 3
3² + 12 ÷ 3 × 8
Indices =
3² = 9
9 + 12 ÷ 3 × 8
Division = 12 ÷ 3 = 4
9 + 4 × 8
Multiplication = 4 x 8 = 32
9 + 32
Addition = 9 + 32 = 41
