The ceiling in your building is 12 feet 6 inches high. The top of a table is 3 feet 9 inches from the floor.How far is the top of the table from the ceiling?

12 ft and 6 in = 11 ft and 18 in.....what I did was borrow 1 ft from the ft side, convert it to inches (1 ft = 12 in), then add that to inches side

11 ft 18 in
3 ft 9 in
