-3|2x + 6| = -12
|2x + 6| = -12/-3 = 4
2x + 6 = 4 and 2x + 6 = -4
2x = 4 - 6 = -2 and 2x = -4 - 6 = -10
x = -2/2 = -1 and x = -10/2 = -5
x = -1 and x = -5
