hallie has 10 times as many pages to read for her homework assignment as janet, altogether , they have to read 264 pages. how many pages does each girl have to read

j be the number of pages Janet has to read.
so Hallie has
10j pages to read.
Altogether, they must read
10j + j pages, which is
11j. So this means that
11j must be equal to
264.
If you divide both bits by
11, you get
j = (264)/(11) = 24.
So, Janet has to read
j pages, which is
24, and Hallie has to read
10j pages, which is
240.

they read all together you divide then the quotient you divide it by 10 that's how u get ur answer13.2
