Notice that:


\begin{gathered} 6x+3(y+4)=27 \\ 3\cdot2x+3\cdot y+3\cdot4=27 \\ 3(2x+y)=27-12 \\ 3(2x+y)=15 \end{gathered}

Solving for 2x+y we get:
