She spent 3/7 of 231 on clothes. So she spent (3/7)*231 = $99
Now she has 231-99 = $132 left
She spent (2/3) of 132 on shoes and purse. So she spent (2/3)*132 = $88
At the end she has 132-88 = $44 left
