2(l + b) = 27.2
2(l + 7.9)= 27.2
2l + 15.8 = 27.2
2l = 11.4
l = 5.7 ft

The correct answer is: Length of the rectangle = L = 5.7 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter of a rectangle is given as:

P = 2 * (L + W) --- (1)

Where,

P = Perimeter = 27.2 ft

L = Length = ?

W = Width = 7.9 ft

Plugin the values in equation (1):

(1) => 27.2 = 2*(L + 7.9)

L = (27.2 - 15.8) / 2

L = 5.7 ft

Hence the length of the rectangle is 5.7 ft. (where ft = feet)
