If 8n+22=70, find the value of 3n

8n+22=70
first, subtract 22 from each sides.
70-22=48
so now you have 8n=48
divide 8 from each side and you'll get the value of n.
48/8 is 6
so n=6
plug in
3(6)
the value of 3n should equal 18
