Paul says that in the number 6367 one 6 is 10 times as great as the other 6. is correct ? explain why or why not.

Yes. 60 x 10 would equal 6,000.

Answer: No.

Explanation:

The given number = 6367

Here, the place value of the first 6= 6000 or 6 thousandth.

Also, the place value of the second 6 = 60 or 9=6 tens.

The number of times 6000 is greater than 60 :-


(6000)/(60)=100

Hence, the place value of first 6 is 100 times graeter tahn the palce value of second 6.
