Boss has 56 (number of possible outcomes) employees, 21 (number of favorable outcomes) of them are part time.

Use the theoretical probability:

Pr(\text{selected employee is a part time emplyee})=\frac{\text{number of favorable outcomes}}{\text{number of possible outcomes}} =(21)/(56)=(3)/(8) =0.375.

In percent it is 37.5%.

Answer: 0.375.
