Answer and Explanation:

1) To find : Which of the following is not the same as 1.69 meters?

Solution :

To know we have to convert unit in given options unit.

Meter into kilometer,

1 \text{ meter} = (1)/(1000) \text{ kilometer}

1.69 \text{ meter} = (1.69)/(1000) \text{ kilometer}

1.69 \text{ m} =0.00169\text{ km}

1 option is not same.

Meter into dekameter,

1 \text{ meter} = (1)/(10) \text{ dekameter}

1.69 \text{ meter} = (1.69)/(10) \text{ dekameter}

1.69 \text{ m} =0.169\text{ dkm}

2 option is same.

Meter into centimeter,

1 \text{ meter} =100 \text{ centimeter}

1.69 \text{ meter} =1.69* 100\text{ centimeter}

1.69 \text{ m} =169\text{ cm}

3 option is same.

Meter into millimeter,

1 \text{ meter} =1000 \text{ millimeter}

1.69 \text{ meter} =1.69* 1000\text{ millimeter}

1.69 \text{ m} =1690\text{ mm}

4 option is same.

Therefore, Only option 1 is not same.

2) Given : A cube 20 cm on one side.

To find : A cube contain how many milliliters of fluid ?How many liters of fluid is this?

Solution :

First we find the volume of the cube,

Side of cube is 20 cm.

Volume of cube is
V=s^3

V=(20)^3

V=8000cm^3

Converting centimeter cube into milliliter,

1 cm^3=1 \text{ milliliter}

8000 cm^3=8000 \text{ milliliter}

Converting centimeter cube into liter,

1 cm^3=0.001 \text{ liter}

8000 cm^3=8000* 0.001 \text{ liter}

8000 cm^3=8 \text{ liter}

1.69 divide by 1000 =0.00169

169/100 = 1.69 meters
1690/1000=1.69
so the first one is not same
hope it helps
