Many people use a solution phosphate(Na3Po4 commonly known as TSP) to clean walls before pitting up wallpaper. The recommended concentration is 1.9%W/V. What mass of TSP( in gram) is needed to make a 3.0L solution?

In this question, we have to find out the mass in grams of a 1.9% W/V solution with a volume of 3.0 Liters, and in order to find this value, we need to use the W/V formula, which is a formula that shows values of Weight and Volume:

W/V = mass/volume

We hava:

W/V = 1.9, or 0.019

Volume = 3.0 Liters

Now we add these values into the formula:

0.019 = mass/3.0

mass = 3.0 * 0.019

mass = 0.057 grams of TSP
