Jim Smiley gets deceived by the man who betted against him. Jim betted that his frog Dan’l can outjump any frog in the country. The man filled the frog with quail shots so that he can win the bet. Jim appeared to be lucky before everyone but it was his cunning and clever nature which helped him win the bet.
