The first one is £25.50 and the second is £34.

To increase 30 pounds by 15%, multiply 30 by 1.15:

30*1.15=34.50\ pounds.
To decrease 40 pounds by 15%, multiply 40 by 0.85:

40*0.85=34\ pounds.
