We expand the expression on the left side of the equation and get


6p=0.6*5p+0.6*15


6p=3p+9.

Now we subtract
3p from both sides and get:


3p=9

We divide the equation by 0.6 and get:


(6p)/(0.6) =(0.6(5p+15))/(0.6),


10p=5p+15,

now we subtract
